Er hello! How fricking coooooool are these pineapple bromeliads? Such an easy way to add some Copacabana feel-good tropical vibes to your pad!
Also known as Dwarf or Miniature Pineapple plants, they have smaller and bitterer fruit than the pineapples we’re used to seeing in Shoprite. You can eat them, but probably isn't sensible!
As a bromeliad, the Ananas Mi Amigo produces a single ornamental fruit at the centre of a crown of delicately coloured foliage. When the pineapple drops off, it's unlikely to produce a new one, but you should get pups in the soil which you can re-pot and grow into whole new plants.

- Light: Does best in bright, indirect light.
- Watering: Water when the top inch of the soil dries out.
- Humidity: Likes a more humid environment so mist regularly or keep in a bathroom or kitchen to avoid crispy tips.
- Temperature: Likes warmer spaces, keep away from cold draughts and above 15 degrees ideally.
- Pets: Can be midly toxic, so keep out of reach.

We offer local doorstep deliveries island wide.
Worried about not being in? No need, we're happy to leave your plant in a safe place. In the shed, under the red bin, with a neighbour, wherever suits you! Just leave us a note at the checkout.
We make deliveries every Wednesday and Saturday, your preferred day can be selected in the drop-down menu at the checkout. If neither of these work for you, get in touch and we'll see if can arrange something. Likewise, if you would like a plant to be delivered as a gift on a day other than Wednesday or Saturday, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do!
