Ficus ginseng is a low-maintenance bonsai that is ideal for the bonsai beginner.
Ginseng varieties have fat trunks, with substantial exposed roots, giving the tree a very exotic and tropical feel.
A slow growing plant that will only need repotting every one to three years in the spring. This type of bonsai can survive without direct sunlight, but you will have a much happier and healthier tree if you place it near a window or an area that receives a lot of sunlight.

- Light: Ideally keep it in a bright spot with some sunshine - ideal for a west or south facing windowsill.
- Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry.
- Humidity: They enjoy more humid environments but normal humidity levels will be okay.
- Temperature: Normal room temperature is good - 15 to 25 degrees is best.
- Pets: Midly toxic to pets if nibbles, keep out of reach.

We offer local doorstep deliveries island wide.
Worried about not being in? No need, we're happy to leave your plant in a safe place. In the shed, under the red bin, with a neighbour, wherever suits you! Just leave us a note at the checkout.
We make deliveries every Wednesday and Saturday, your preferred day can be selected in the drop-down menu at the checkout. If neither of these work for you, get in touch and we'll see if can arrange something. Likewise, if you would like a plant to be delivered as a gift on a day other than Wednesday or Saturday, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do!
