The Phalaenopsis Orchid, or more commonly known as a Moth Orchid, are popular houseplants with a huge variety of striking colours and patterns. A common misconception is the level of care required by these popular flowering plants: they actually thrive best on a little healthy neglect. They flower for long periods and make an ideal Orchid for a beginner.

We believe in allowing orchids to do their natural thing, so we remove the stakes which keep them upright. We think the beautiful curved stems they would have in the wild make them dreamy!

Light: Does best in bright, indirect light.
Watering: Orchids always come in clear pots because the key to keeping the watering right is keeping an eye on the colour of the roots. When they are a nice verdant green colour they have enough hydration. When they start to turn silvery green then give that plant a good drenching! Always water over a sink and let all the excess water run through and out of the drainage holes of the nursery pot.
Humidity: Likes a more humid environment so ideal in bathrooms and kitchens.
Temperature: Likes warmer spaces - does not like very cold spaces or very hot spaces. 15 - 27 degrees is best.
Pets: Not troublesome to pets
